Nelikymppinen radiotoimittaja Eva asuu halvassa hotellissa ja odottaa avioeronsa harkinta-ajan päättymistä satunnaisten matkailijoiden keskellä, kun puoliso Juha, valtakunnan tunnettu pariterapeutti, on löytänyt rinnalleen uuden nuoren rakkauden. Yksityiselämäänsä riepottelevien iltapäivälehtien otsikoita vältellessään Eva kohtaa oman menneisyytensä merkittävimmät rakkaustarinat, joista joutui tahtomattaan luopumaan. Ympärillä ajelehtivien ihmisten tarinat saavat hänet pohtimaan avioliittonsa aikaisia kohtaamisia, mustasukkaisuutta ja riippuvuuksia -- olemmeko lähisuhteissamme lojaaleja toisillemme vaiko toistemme vihollisia? Ja olemmeko kaikki koukussa rakkauteen ja rakastetuksi tulemiseen? Miten käy lopulta Evan ja Juhan avioliiton?
