Mielenkiintoisia, nostalgiaa herättäviä Huhtamäen Tehtaiden, Ipnoksen ja Hellaksen pakkauksia useilta vuosikymmeniltä. Turkulaista makeispakkaussuunnittelua ja suunnittelijoita värikkäiden pakkausten takana. Tätä kaikkea on Hyvin pakattu - puoleksi myyty. Teos valottaa pakkausten merkitystä myynnille esittelemällä Suklaatehdas Hellaksen ja sen edeltäjien pakkaussuunnittelua 1900-luvun alkupuolella. Samalla kerrotaan pakkaussuunnittelijan ammatin kehittymisestä ja nostetaan esille eräitä Hellaksella ja Ipnoksella vaikuttaneita suunnittelijoita kuten Marja Vuorelainen, Eva Wichman ja Valma Hakanen. Aistikkailla pakkauksilla houkuteltiin ostajia jo näyteikkunoissa, joiden somistuksista tuli suosittua 1930-luvulla. Pakkausten lisäksi Hellaksen taidetoimistossa suunniteltiin myös näyteikkunoita. Kirja on runsas tietopaketti kuluttamisen vuosisadan vilkkaista alkuvuosikymmenistä, jolloin merkkituoteajattelu syntyi ja kansalaisia alettiin houkutella tuotteiden ostajiksi käyttäen pakkausta
